We are a small breeder of working line German Shepherds located in central Kentucky on 9+ acres, which gives us a perfect place for raising active German Shepherds. We also own Nubian dairy goats and two cats who are more than happy to help out with puppy socialization ;) We have been raising Shepherds since 1997.
Our goal here at Schöne Stadt German Shepherds is to produce versatile dogs with sound minds, stable nerves, a high level of intelligence, and the drives to work but with the ability to settle down and be loving protective family companions in the home. Excellent health, correct conformation, rich pigmentation, and substantial bone and heads are equally important qualities that we strive for in our breeding program. All breeding dogs here at Schöne Stadt are free of hip and elbow dysplasia.
Our German Shepherds' lineage consists mainly of DDR (East German), West German, Czech, and Slovak working bloodlines. We only have a small number of litters per year to ensure that each puppy gets the right amount of care and stimulation needed for proper development. Our breedings are of such quality that we would we be happy to retain a pup for our own breeding program.
